Who We Are:

  • A Jackrabbit Ski Club with 140 children and 40+ volunteers as Leaders, Assistant leaders, Executive and Event Organizers
  • Located at Kamview Nordic Centre, on 20th Side Road, off Hwy 61, 5 km south of Thunder Bay Airport
  • Jackrabbit programs run Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
  • Program runs from November to March

Overview

The Kamview Jackrabbit Ski League has been developed to provide an instructional, as well as recreational(fun) program. Similar to other sports, the Jackrabbit program has a skill award progression, developed by Cross Country Canada. Currently, there are sticker awards for technique, speed, and time spent on skis in a season.

The Jackrabbit program is run entirely by volunteers, so all parents are encouraged to help in any way they canJust coming out and skiing with a group can be a big help. Occasionally we have social get-togethers to promote club spirit. New leaders, assistant leaders, and helpers are always welcome!
